This later became full time employment after Mark graduated. Further employment was gained at Woodworks and Against the Grain in Sheffield and Bronte in Northampton. However the most influential employment was found at Matthew Collins in Oxfordshire, Mark Wilkinson in Wiltshire and Jonathan Rose in Malmesbury. Skills acquired whilst working for these companies included veneering, curved woodwork and both traditional and contemporary cabinet making. During this employment Mark produced specialist pieces for world-class furniture makers Lord Linley and Silverlining.
Mark says: “I always knew that I wanted to make furniture. I love the creative side of it and the satisfaction you get from seeing something you have painstakingly made come to fruition.”
